Strange dreams

Recently I’ve been having incredibly strange dreams that seem kind of real, but not really real. They’ve been very creative and somewhat creepy. It may be time to start using a dream translation book soon, or perhaps just a web site that will tell me what the main elements of my dreams stand for. Honestly, with the way my dreams have been going, I can’t imagine what they could be trying to tell me. Nuclear war, mean witches, high school… it’s all pretty disturbing.

Are our brains trying to tell us something each night as we sleep? Or is it all just a messed up jumble of images, phrases and situations that soaked in to our conscience and sub-conscience during the day? I know that my nearly 2 year old son dreams. He’ll begin crying, laughing or talking in the middle of the night and then just continue sleeping as if nothing happened. It seems a bit much to think that his brain is trying to tell him what his issues are while he’s sleeping. Do 2 year olds have issues? No, It’s probably just his little mind sorting through all the information that’s still too much too understand. Oy!

I’m pretty sure that I could go around and around about this for a couple hours if I let myself. Fortunately I have a life to get back to, not to mention a pretty interesting dream life.

    Hello Love,
I would highly recommend a dream dictionary or two. I really got into dream analysis for a while a few years ago and found them to be a valuable tool. I remember one disturbing dream in particular (just after my oldest was born) where the symbolism there-in helped me discover a deep seeded fear of control and failure, manipulation and emotional dissection. Yeah, I know intense, but I enjoyed the subjective interpretation of the strange images that were played out in my subconscious at night. Sadly, I either rarely dream now, or just don’t remember them. I don’t know if it is because I’m just so tired all the time, or that I just don’t sleep well enough to dream….
